Parish Organizations and committees:

1. CATHOLIC WOMEN’S ASSOCIATION

A Catholic woman over the age of 16 is welcome to join this Association. The Catholic Women’s Association strives to achieve individual and collective spiritual development, to promote the teaching of the Catholic Church, to exemplify the Christian ideal in home and family life, to protect the sanctity of life, to recognize the human dignity of all people everywhere, to enhance the role of women in church and society. Monthly meetings are held in the parish hall to plan and prepare events that support the parish community and the community at large.

2. ST. VINCENT DE PAUL SOCIETY

The object and purpose of this Society is to reach out and help the poor and needy in our parish boundaries by providing food, clothing, furniture, and in whatever way possible. Vincentians strive to bear witness to the love of Christ in their relationship with those most in need. Food hampers for special occasions are also prepared. All interested persons are welcome to become a member of this Society.

3. PARISH COUNCIL

Elected members of the parish serve as an advisory group to the pastor and parish in nurturing the life of the parish and attending to the overall needs of the parish. These areas of activity include liturgical, spiritual, social, property, and planning to meet the challenges facing our parish family.


4. SOCIAL JUSTICE COMMITTEE

This group must have a keen interest in Social Justice. They will attend meetings and help at various Social Justice endeavors. e.g. petitions, fund raising activities. It is the responsibility of this committee to make the parish aware of Social Justice issues.

5. FINANCE COMMITTEE

This Ministry has the awesome task of being good stewards of the parish finances. They meet quarterly to review financial statements, set up budgets, diocesan reports, plan special collections, and as required inform the parishioners regarding the financial matters of the Parish.

6. DECORATING COMMITTEE

Volunteers decorate the Church for special Liturgical Celebrations, at Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, etc. Parishioners with strengths in creativity and/or decorating flair are welcome to join this committee and bring innovative ideas.
